Summer Camps
Every year, Cornerstone has a special meeting with sponsored students and graduates of
different areas. Inside the camp, volunteer workers and students will live together and
build up a deep relationship through close encounter. After the camp, volunteer workers
will keep in touch with students through letters, emails or chat rooms to care for them,
help them to build up their character and proper values in life. We have different life
education topics every year to help students to have better self-understanding, better
interaction techniques and better skills for future jobs.

Fund-raising walkathon for medical fund We started this event in 2009 as a response to the great need of medical services in China. Though the amount of fund needed is enormous, we believe we can succeed with joint efforts.
The second walkathon was held on 30th October 2010 in Shatin Central Park with the slogan “China Heart, Medical Dream- join hands towards 2 miles”. About 240 people joined raising HKD568,000. Though some churches and friends could not join, they still donated. We are really thankful for their enthusiasm and support!

Qingyuan cycling fund raising event
Since 1998, Cornerstone and the YMCA have been holding a new and unique cycling fund -raising activity, hoping to raise the awareness of Hong Kong people about poverty in remote villages in China. Participants can enjoy cycling and the beautiful scenery while raising funds for the poor and needy in Qingyuan. They also visited poor families and primary schools. We gave all our bicycles to the needy students after the event.
On the 10th Anniversary of this event in 2007, the citizens of Qingyuan joined us too. From less than 20 people in the beginning to more than 160 people in 2010, this activity is becoming more and more successful!
