Seeing the 1994 flood in South China and the following natural disasters in Qingyuan, Guangdong, and
Yizhou, Guangxi, Cornerstone started to raise funds to help the victims.

  After these disasters, a lot of schools were destroyed. Many school buildings even collapsed because
of old age. We started to rebuild or renovate these schools one by one.

Then, we found that there were a lot of poor students….

  In 1995, Cornerstone was accepted by C& MA Church Union of Hong Kong and registered as a charity
organization approved by the Hong Kong Government. As a volunteer organization that serves communities
in China, our members mostly come from different Christian Alliance churches, including many pastors
and Christian leaders. Among them, we can find many experts in the medical, educational, legal and
commercial sectors. Members from other denominations also join us in visiting many remote areas in
China, using their talents and expertise to serve communities and Christians in China, so as to
practice the teaching of Jesus.
             
  Now, Cornerstone is mainly serving Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, and Sichuan with a
variety of projects such as medical service, helping the poor, educational sponsorship, disaster relief,
rebuilding churches and developing community services.
